We currently have a 12 month entry-level traineeship opportunity to join our Data Analytics and Insights team based in our Collingwood head office. Our traineeships are full time for 12 months and provide a great opportunity for individuals who have limited work experience and have not undertaken study since finishing school. It is important to note that this opportunity is not a graduate position.
The trainee will support the Data Analytics and Insight team and actively participate in practical tasks and gain hands-on experience by performing various data-related activities. This opportunity will not only allow the trainee to gain foundation knowledge and experience for a successful career in Data, but also to be introduced to different pathways such as Data Analysis, Data Engineering and Front End Developer.

**What you will be doing**
- Execute and monitor automated job checks to ensure the data processes run smoothly, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or errors
- Generate and deliver extract files for the business as required, adhering to specific data formatting and delivery schedules
- Assist the data engineering team in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues, and act as a liaison with the IT or infrastructure team when necessary
- Conduct basic data analysis to extract insights and assist in making data-driven decisions
- Maintain records of automated processes, job check results, and extract file generation procedures
- Actively engage in training sessions to enhance your Excel, SQL, and data engineering skills
- Work closely with the data engineering team, actively participating in team projects, and lending your support as needed.
- Complete the Certificate III in Information Technology
