**About the Company**:
Leading wholesaler of hard goods for the trade is looking for an experienced HR Professional to support an Executive Director and the Management Group. This established company supports some of the world’s leading household brands and is a one stop shop for Architects and Commercial Builders. Based in Port Melbourne offering a great team environment and free onsite parking.

**The Role**:
The scope of your role will be to foster a culture of direct engagement with staff members, provide advice and support to the leadership group, assist with recruitment and employee engagement.
- Demonstrated strong leadership experience with the ability to influence all stakeholders.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Manage staff appraisal, staff training and personal development with our training specialists.
- Recruitment management - interviewing, hiring and onboarding new staff.
- On boarding new employees including management of inductions and probationary periods
- Reviewing our induction and training programs with support from our training specialist
- Managing career progression and succession and development planning of staff
- Conduct and report on staff surveys.
- Drafting HR policies and ensuring compliance with employment legislation
- Provide advice, investigate and report on employee relations issues including internal staff grievances and external complaints where directed by Senior Management

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification / Bachelor of Business (HR Management) equivalent
- 4 + years of progressive Human Resources experience in corporate environment
- Managing the Employee Performance Review Process
- Experience in Organisational Design and Structure.
- Performance Management skills to improve individual and team outputs.
- Experience in the implementation of new HR processes, structure and systems
- Performance Management skills to improve individual and team outputs.
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and excellent numeracy required.

For the right person there will also be the opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director to provide support with the preparation on presentations and event management. Due to the vast diversity of this role, organisation and prioritising tasks effectively is crucial, as well as being able to delegate tasks when required. An outstanding level of communication is a must as you will be communicating with multiple levels within the organisation.
