**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Research Assistant within the Division of Medicine.
- The Division of Medicine is committed to the achievement of best practice in the design and delivery of services to its patients. This involves the pursuit of quality improvement and innovation in every aspect of its operation.- The Research Assistant participates in the conduct of research and the delivery of a range of research support services, under the broad direction of the Research Officer and Academic Cardiologist. This includes performing wet-laboratory based research procedures of ex-vivo human samples and managing a Biobank.- The position also includes participating in research planning, the sourcing, analysis and reporting on research data and information, and the maintenance and expansion of existing research networks, information-sharing and the building of research capacity across the Unit. The work that the Research Assistant undertakes contributes to the achievement of defined objectives, and the testing of stated hypotheses, with the purpose of acquiring and communicating new knowledge of value in the field of health.- To be eligible for this position you must hold a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) Degree or equivalentSA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
