Triple Zero Victoria (000VIC) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Director, Commercial and Procurement, the Procurement Lead oversees all phases of strategic sourcing activities while providing expert guidance and support within 000VIC. The Procurement Lead plays a critical role in optimizing 000VIC’s procurement activities and ensuring seamless availability of goods and services.

Day to day responsibilities include:

- Lead a small team that has authority to develop and undertake strategic sourcing projects across multiple procurement categories
- Engage and negotiate with supply markets based on strategic principles and a total cost of ownership approach
- Support the development and implementation of departmental category strategies, policies and procedures ensuring compliance with the Victorian Government Purchasing Board policies, and other Government legislative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procurement policies.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as finance, operations, and legal teams, to align procurement activities with organizational needs.

**About You**:

- Extensive demonstrable experience in procurement or strategic sourcing roles, with a focus on procurement strategy development, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, industry trends, and relevant regulations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
