It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and VICSES. **About the Role**:
The Procurement Lead will report in to the Director, Commercial and Procurement and work as a key and active participant of the Finance and Corporate Services department. The main purpose of this role is to manage the strategic sourcing team who are involved in all phases of strategic sourcing activities. You will require highly developed commercial acumen with strong negotiation skills to deliver solutions to high value or high risk sourcing activities.

As the Procurement Lead, you will have the ability to identify and implement opportunities to improve strategic sourcing, procurement and contract management within Triple Zero Victoria.

Day to day responsibilities include:

- Directing business units in mapping out tender scopes, taking tenders to market and leading tender evaluation
- Negotiating contracts, terms and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure favuorable terms and conditions for the organisation
- Acting as a reliable and rusted interface between departmental business units and supply markets
- Ensuring compliance with appliable laws, regulations and internal procurement policies while assessing and mitigating procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, vendor non-compliance and quality issues
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and providing guidance and support to internal tams on procurement related matters

**About You**:
As a Procurement Lead, you will have experience working within the public sector as well as the following skills and attributes:

- Extensive demonstrable experience in procurement or strategic sourcing roles, with a focus on procurement strategy development, vendor management and contract negotiation
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, industry trends and contract regulations
- Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to lead negotiations and finalise contract with suppliers
- Strong organisational and project management and strong interpersonal skills
