**About the Role**:
The Early Childhood Leader is intentional in their provision of early childhood leadership, curriculum and pedagogical expertise to the Department for Education’s early childhood services and preschools and (birth - 5) that contribute to improved learning and development outcomes to help ensure all young children thrive and learn.

Supporting Education Directors to strategically monitor and embed implementation of the preschool quality improvement plan and evidence-informed quality improvement across preschools, schools and partnerships, Early Childhood Leaders provide expertise to site leaders and establish effective relationships with stakeholders. Early Childhood Leaders are key to the achievement of system and local level strategic directions, leader and teacher capacity building, evidence-based review and intervention processes, policy formation, decision making and the management of change.

The Early Childhood Leader, Para Hills 3 is a member of the Para Hills 3 local education team (LET) which operates from Para Hills Education Office. Para Hills 3 LET supports government schools and preschools within the Montague and Orion local partnerships (mid north metropolitan) and the role is required to undertake significant travel within these regions. **Qualifications**:
**Essential**: A tertiary qualification in early childhood education or equivalent experience.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
S121-4 $141,790 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
