The BAE Maritime Osborne Shipyard contains newly acquired Specialist Shipbuilding Equipment that has a high degree of automation/robotics that will require onsite troubleshooting and maintenance.

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Site Maintenance Technician within our Hunter Class Project based in Osborne, SA.

**Your new role**:
**As a Site Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for**:

- Troubleshooting production problems
- Assessment of maintenance requests repair level
- Assisting in the preparation of in-house training
- Development of preventative maintenance instructions
- Development of corrective maintenance instructions
- Ensuring maintenance is being performed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and records are kept in the CMMS
- Re-Commissioning of the plant after shutdown/maintenance
- Providing Input into SOP development and Risk Assessments for the Equipment
- Ensuring consumables and recommended spares are on hand or a process has been established to enable timely procurement

About you

**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Trade qualifications in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or Equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing or similar environment specifically with regards to:

- Computerised maintenance systems and automated welding
- Industrial multi-system Production Equipment
- Complex control systems, sensors, actuators, electric/pneumatic/hydraulic drives, motor pumps, vacuum systems and robotic welding
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Experience in maintaining, installing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems
- Experience maintaining facilities and equipment in complex precision production environment
- Facilitate a production environment thru implementation of preventative and routine maintenance and operation of Facility resources and equipment
- An understanding of shipyard operations preferred
- Australian Defence Security clearance preferred

Clearances
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
