The Regulation Directorate sits within the Transport Policy and Regulation Division and is responsible for driving the Government’s regulation and policy initiatives and ensuring appropriate compliance, behaviour and safe access across our transport networks.

We are seeking to recruit multiple diligent and proactive Compliance Officers to join our Compliance Team within the Compliance, Investigations and Prosecution Section.

Our Compliance Officers play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of South Australia's Passenger Transport system and are responsible for undertaking a range of compliance activities relative to the administration of the _Passenger Transport Act 1994 (SA), _Passenger Transport Regulations 2009 _and other transport legislation, Rules, departmental policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:
A current driver’s licence is essential.
Tertiary qualifications or experience relevant to the role required.

**Special Conditions**
- provide a National Police Check.
- gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

Work outside normal hours and inter/intrastate travel necessitating overnight absences is required.

The hours of work for Compliance Officers are 152 hours over a four-week period, which may be worked on an irregular shift basis over the 24 hour day, seven days per week including public holidays. When working over this seven-day roster, Compliance Officers are entitled to an additional week of annual leave per year (pro rata).

Must wear the Agency uniform as required.

Must be suitable to be appointed as an Authorised Officer under relevant Acts and Commonwealth Acts.

**Tenure of Vacancy**
Temporary appointment up to 12 months

**Remuneration**
OPS4 - $75,430 to $79,070 per annum
