Full Time, Ongoing position

The Interschool Sport Manager is responsible to the Head of Interschool Sport. Manage and oversee key programs within the rapidly growing and expanding Interschool Sport portfolio at MLC which includes a large team of specialist sport coaches who all coach Interschool Sports.

Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:

- Manage and coordinate the following key sport programs within MLC’s Interschool Sport portfolio:

- GSV weekly sports (Year 7 to 12)
- GSV Year 5/6 Carnivals (Year 5 & 6)
- JS Interschool weekly sports (Year 5 & 6)
- JS SSV Carnival sports (Year 3 to 6)
- Conduct selection trials, manage sporting teams and squads and provide guidance and support to the students, parents and staff involved
- Recruit and mentor high quality sport coaches
- Support and deliver the strategy and vision for the allocated Interschool Sport programs at MLC that will encourage high participation and student skill development and enjoyment

Ensure the sport programs continue to evolve by investigating ways in which we can enhance our programs

About You
- A capacity to lead and motivate a diverse range of individuals
- Initiative, innovative ideas and a clear passion for sport and promoting healthy lifestyles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (working with a wide range of people)
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- Good negotiation skills with the ability to achieve successful outcomes
- Experience with managing finances and preparing budgets
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to prepare written reports and plans and to communicate with a wide range of people
- Proven physical education or sports management training
- Proven competence with use of technology in a learning environment
- Acts professionally and maintains appropriate confidentiality
- Right to work in Australia
- Hold a current Working With Children's Check
- Understand and demonstrate adherence to all College policies
- Understand the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrate behaviours in accordance with the MLC Child Safe Program
