On field, the AFL team has quickly grown into one of the competition’s most exciting teams with several players becoming household names across the country. Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.
Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.
The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

**Description**:
The role will manage the servicing and fulfillment of contractual deliverables to our partners and contributes to the strategic growth of the partnership and sales activity of the Club. The Partnership Executive will build strong relationships with key clients to deliver on strategic partnership plans using exceptional account management skills, financial acumen, and creative engagement activations and initiatives. The Commercial team are charged with acquiring, fulfilling, and growing the GIANTS' new and existing revenue portfolios across our three teams, AFL, AFLW, and GIANTS Netball and Community.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage key relationships across a suite of partners, including AFL Men's, AFL Women's, GIANTS Netball, and Community programs.
Develop and execute program activation strategies for owned accounts.
Work across a range of activities, including assisting in the delivery of project planning, on and offline activation, budgeting, and administration.
With the Head of Commercial Partnerships and Sales, you will manage your owned account portfolio's budget and cost centers, including monthly forecasting and invoicing.
Ensure that work produced meets objective sets agreed timelines, is delivered to the highest standard, and achieves the best possible results for both the club and partner.
Be involved in researching category and industry best practices to find the next BIG IDEA and the feasibility of ideas generated.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, agencies, and industry professionals.
Identify new business, B2B, and collaboration opportunities for our existing club partners.
Manage key reporting, evaluation, and regular review activities for your managed accounts
**Skills and Experiences**:
Skills and Knowledge
2-4 years of demonstrated experience in sponsorship, activation, and management of key accounts.
Relevant Tertiary education is preferred but not required
Excellent communicator who thrives on developing and managing networks and building relationships.
Previous experience with CRM systems [Salesforce or similar] is advantageous.
Confident and effective in preparing and delivering engaging presentations and proposals.
An absolute attention to detail - at the GIANTS we get the little things right.
Ability to work out of hours and weekends, including all home match days and nominated club events.
Prioritization and excellent time management skills.
Comfortable to be a team player and work autonomously, going above and beyond to achieve the desired results.
Be a strategic thinker, using research and creativity in the development of partner solutions.
Professional, helpful, and efficient manner
Understanding of AFL is ideal, but not essential.
