About the role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join us as Injury and Wellbeing RTW Coordinator, on an ongoing basis. The Injury and Wellbeing RTW Coordinator is responsible for providing advice, support and reporting on a broad range of health, safety, and wellbeing issues, including the case management of WorkCover claims.
Reporting to the Principal Consultant - Health, Safety and Wellbeing the role is responsible for providing a point of contact and a comprehensive administration support service to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team through reporting and recording requirements, legislative compliance, incidents and injuries, document management and employee wellbeing initiatives and services.

**Key Accountabilities include**:

- Acting as the first point of contact for Health, Safety and Wellbeing queries, providing sound advice and support on a broad range of health, safety, and wellbeing issues to, executives, managers and relevant portfolio agency staff. This includes management of the central DPC Health, Safety and Wellbeing inbox.
- Providing support to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team and People and Culture branch with the delivery of health, safety and wellbeing activities and initiatives including the Peer Support Program, Mental Health and Wellbeing training and yearly calendar of events.
- Preparing high quality and accurate briefs, reports and other correspondence on a range of OHS and HR issues, including quarterly and annual reporting.
- Recording all reported hazards, incidents and injuries and track the completion of any corrective action in the relevant register, following up with any outstanding actions where required.
- Liaising with facilities to ensure maintenance issues impacting OH&S are resolved and/or WorkSafe for reportable incidences.

About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Problem solving: Identifies complex stakeholder issues and manages and monitors the impact and risk of a program, project or issue on people or organisations with a vested interest.
- Consultancy: Demonstrated ability to provide succinct and clear expert advice to stakeholders on a range of employment, change management or health and safety matters, using a range of strategies to engage and communicate.
- Conceptual and analytical ability: Deeply analyses and understands the differing interests and vantage points of stakeholders when developing or responding to initiatives that fall within area of responsibility, including strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures and contemporary developments in employee relations including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004) and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
- Relationship building: Establishes and maintains relationships with people at all levels and from different backgrounds and organisations.
- Communication: Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to develop and present material on complex matters to a wide range of audiences and the ability to prepare quality briefs, reports and correspondence.
