**Reform Programs Directorate**

Reform Programs seeks to ensure that schools in NSW are enabled to deliver exceptional outcomes for students through the identification and implementation of high impact operational improvement initiatives. The work we do aims to ensure that our teachers, leaders, and school staff are able to focus on teaching, leading, and supporting students.

**About the Innovation and System Improvement Team**

As one of three functions in the Reform Programs Directorate, the Innovation and System Improvement team works collaboratively to identify, lead, and develop plans and initiatives to solve complex operational challenges.

The team is also responsible for the Governance, Assurance and Reporting and leads the portfolio governance and delivery assurance for major programs and projects across Reform Programs.

**About the role**

The role undertakes and provides a range of activities for the Reform Programs directorate. The role manages the development and tracking of program benefits of Programs and Projects. The role engages with stakeholders at all levels of the Department, to conduct evaluations to determine if project outcomes are delivering on school and business needs.

We are seeking an experienced person with the following key skills:

- Develop and implement Program Benefit Realisation Framework, with clear benefit measurables and accountabilities.
- Manage the creation, design, and standardisation of weekly and monthly business performance dashboards and trend analysis to inform decision making and meet reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement to ensure optimal use of resources across schools and the Schools Division.
- Ability to ensure the ongoing sustainability of essential programs in an environment of limited resources.
- Excellent organisation, analytical skills and a strong commitment to innovation and performance improvement
- Ability to engage and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure effective program benefits delivery.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG (Aboriginal Education Consultative Group) and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
