**About the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health**
The Melbourne School of Population Health was established in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences in 2001. It became the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health in 2013.

Approximately 300 academic and professional staff work across the School and its partner agencies. The School’s total budget is in excess of $50m. There are approximately 120 higher-degree research students (predominantly PhD).

The School aims to strengthen the understanding, capacity and services of society to meet population health needs and to improve the quality and equity of health care. It employs a population health framework that incorporates public health and preventative medicine, health promotion, clinical medicine and allied healthcare disciplines and an equity and evidence-based approach to health care and health policy.

**About the Role**
The Study Coordinator position is based in the Allergy and Lung Health Unit (ALHU), Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. The SC will be an integral member of our multidisciplinary ALHU research team and will lead the 4-year-old follow-up of the National Health & Medical Research Council-funded PEBBLES Trial.

This is a position for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work as part of the team conducting the latest phase of the PEBBLES Trial, a clinical trial that aims to reduce the incidence of eczema, food allergy and asthma.

Responsibilities include:

- Conduct clinical assessments, administer surveys and supervise other staff members undertaking these activities
- Preparation of ethics submissions and amendments
- Development of study protocols, case report forms and other clinical research documentation
- Collate participant information and samples from testing session and forward these to the appropriate storage areas, including taking biological samples to the MCRI Biobank

**About You**
Your proven organisational and time management skills to plan and organise work allow you to meet competing deadlines. You possess the ability to work as both a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently with mínimal supervision, showing initiative and flexibility.

You will also have:

- A degree in nursing, science, health science or biomedical science and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Significant experience with responsible roles in the planning, conduct, coordination or management of clinical research, including clinical trials
- Good working knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology, a sound understanding of the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and an excellent knowledge of applicable Australian regulations and guidelines
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation
