**The Role**
The Commercial Manger will provide leadership and support to the Business Development & Commercial Team for technical innovation, tender submissions and contract commercial negotiations, review, and administration. This role will be involved with modelling, proposal preparation and risk profiling incorporating traditional and renewable energy components.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- For allocated projects, preparing and managing all facets of the bid proposal through to contract execution.
- Conceptualize high level power generation solutions to meet the customer’s requirements.
- Management of the Development Engineering Team
- Collation of all information required for modelling of client’s requirements, ensuring the accuracy of the information for proposal preparation and upon which commercial agreements will be negotiated.
- Undertake modelling as required and drafting of proposals outlining modelling outcomes and preferred solutions.
- Prepare proposals and presentations that clearly identify and satisfy the Client’s requirements.
- Continuous development of a working understanding of available and emerging technologies, and their economics, relevant to the client base.
- Attend Tender and Client meetings.
- Assist the in-house contracts and legal leads as required with contract review, especially pertaining to commercial information & data.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, group subsidiaries and suppliers for pricing and technical support to compile proposals.
- Complete and contribute to monthly divisional performance summaries.
- Collaborate, contribute and ensure risk profile aligns with Company expectations in relation to contracted party suitability, new business modelling and proposal drafting.
- Undertake additional duties as instructed by Senior Management.
- Be an active member of the Commercial Team and seek new business opportunities.
**About You**:
- Tertiary qualification, preferably engineering, and industry experience with an understanding of mining operations and the cost and technical drivers for power supply at cost-effective rates
- High knowledge of Microsoft software packages, particularly Excel, with knowledge and experience of analysis using functions, such as IRR, NPV, date, time and logical decisions.
- Ability to source information and consolidate this information into models and business proposals for presentations.
- Ability to work in a team environment, to listen and learn, participate and question where required.
- Ability to be flexible in approach to work and able to change direction at short notice to assist others and meet deadlines.
- To have the ability to think outside of the box and provide initiative solutions for consideration by management.
- Be confident to communicate with other team members and clients when required.
- Results-oriented.
- Ability to develop solid relationships both internally and externally.
