Whilst the major banks leverage this capability for their consumer and business clients, our B2B model focuses on enabling other banks, fintech’s and corporates to deliver innovative and competitive payment and digital solutions to their clients and customers.

**We are looking for a Settlement Officer to join our Business Operations department in our Product and Services division.**

Reporting to the Team Leader, Settlement Operations this role is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations for Settlements with market/ clients plus CBS function. Payment streams are associated with the settlements of all products like ATM, Bpay, Member Chequing, Card schemes, Treasury products settlement, RTGS, PEXA, NPP Integris, etc.

**In this role you will be responsible for**:

- Ensure that the financial statements produced are accurate and are completed on a timely manner.
- Handle BECS, CECS, eSS, VISA, MasterCard, Union Pay, Bpay and other settlement type.
- Work on Funds Transfers, RTGS payments, Austraclear, manage ESA and FSS account.
- Ensure that the daily work is actioned within cut-off times, meeting the requirements of our clients, APN and other Financial Institution
- Identify and escalate issues and concerns, client complaints, service failures, supplier failures or non-compliance.
- Adherence to processes and accurate documentation of procedures to meet audit and compliance policies.
- Build relationships and liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, other Financial Institutions, Vendors and Scheme.
- Action and respond to client service requests and other internal requests in a timely, accurate manner to meet SLAs.
- Project related duties as required such as onboarding of Clients, implementation of new initiatives and scheme mandates.
- Manage Administration and general office duties.
- Raise necessary journal vouchers/ entries to ensure all Clearing accounts balance.
- Act as back up for different functions within the team.

**About you**
- Experience working with the treasury back office.
- Experience and exposed with Austraclear, RITS, and SWIFT
- Intermediate Excel skills
- An eye for attention to detail and the ability to communicate in an effective and proactive manner.
- Skill to respond to rapidly changing circumstances in a pre-emptive manner in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset and can solve problems efficiently.
- Self-Assured in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated expertise in effective time management of competing priorities in a tight deadline driven environment.
- Proactive mindset and are confident in grasping information quickly and have a willingness to learn.
