About the opportunity
The Executive Assistant and Project Officer is an integral member of the Health Services Quality and Improvement Unit and provides professional administrative services to support the efficient and effective operations of the Director Quality and Improvement, Health Services. With an exciting and dynamic improvement agenda underway, you will be a highly experienced and capable person, with significant experience and expertise in all aspects of the role.
The broad responsibilities of the Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator include:
- High level executive administrative support
- Project management and coordination for clinical and non-clinical areas
- Consumer engagement
- Stakeholder communication and liaison
- Preparation of briefings, correspondence and presentations
- Financial management support

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Significant experience as an Executive Assistant in a health care setting- Demonstrated experience managing/ coordinating clinical and non-clinical projects, particularly in the preparation of project documentation and reporting- Tertiary qualification in a health-related field- Excellent time management and organisational skills- High level of accuracy and attention to detail- Great communication skills and the ability to multi-task effectively while remaining calm and professional under pressure- Ability to prioritise responsibilities to meet business reporting timelines- Highly developed interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service excellence- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team- Demonstrate initiative, discretion, confidentiality, and judgement of a high order- Commitment to the mission and values of Mercy Health and Catholic Health
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.- Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
