Melbourne City Centre, Australia Department of Education and Training Full time

The purpose of this role is to manage department's current and future financial systems, tools and associated products. The incumbent will:

- Manage systems support, licensing and systems administration
- Provide user and staff training related to the department's current and future financial systems, data, tools, and associated products
- Manage and develop the Financial Systems team and other staff as assigned by the Director, Financial Systems and projects
- Lead innovation and continuous improvement in existing financial systems to improve efficiencies, productivity and turnaround time.
- Manage financial systems stakeholders ensuring appropriate service levels are met
- Manage the implementation of new financial systems including design, development and testing including systems/data that integrate with financial systems
- Manage the generation of accurate extracts, reports and analysis for departmental staff and executives in timely manner
- Ensure regular reporting on System performance, tracking of systems issues, system fixes undertaken, related risk and risk management plan
- Manage relations with various divisions within department, portfolio agencies and schools area and assist the Director, Financial Systems and Projects in various system/processes improvements, tasks and activities.

The department currently handles Oracle Financial Systems (On Premises), Oracle Cloud, Axiom, as well as other customised payment channels.
The role requires interpersonal, communication, and customer management skills with demonstrated experience in leading the provision of support to a large number of stakeholders and an ability to understand the Department's business environment.
