Overview:
The Associate Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance is accountable to the Director of Financial Services and Reporting for leading the delivery of governance, risk management, compliance practices, advice, and policy development and reporting on such for the Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance Branch.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Lead initiatives, including system-wide reviews to continuously improve governance, risk, and compliance policies by incorporating emerging best practices, regulatory changes, and industry standards.
- Lead consultation processes across the portfolio as part of the process to share and implement policies across SA Health
- Responsibility for maintaining a client interface between Shared Services and their service portfolio, ensuring effective communication, service delivery and continuous improvement opportunities
- Provide expert advice to key stakeholders, including the Executive Director of Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance (PSCF), Departmental Deputy Chief Executives, and Executive Directors within the Department for Health and Wellbeing and Local Health Networks.
- Direct change management initiatives to improve the quality, timeliness, and relevance of policies and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, ensuring Treasurer's Instructions are clearly communicated, followed, and monitored to drive compliance and efficiency.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive team environment that values diversity and encourages creativity, innovation, and teamwork.
- Lead scenario planning exercises and stress tests for the procurement, supply chain, and finance branches. These activities would help the organisation prepare for a variety of potential future risks, including economic downturns, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes.
- Ensuring PSCF is prepared for audits, including those undertaken by the Auditor-General's Office, leading and coordinating the timely completion of audit actions and improvement.
- Lead development and implementation of governance and compliance frameworks that incorporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, ensuring that procurement and supply chain practices align with the organisation's sustainability goals and reporting on these efforts.
