The Team Leader - SafeCare® position is responsible for the operational leadership of the SafeCare® program.

We offer a comprehensive network of services and seek to ensure the provision of high quality services that will bring about significant improvements in the life experience of the young people, children and families/caregivers with whom we work.

**The Position**:
This program has been developed to support families with children from birth to 5 years who are at risk of child abuse and neglect. This service provides the families with structured sessions using behavioural principles for parent training around three focused content related modules, Parent/Child or Infant interactions, and child health and home safety.

The SafeCare® program is based on the SafeCare® model. Evidence based services are internationally recognized as having the highest level of research validating the beneficial outcomes for clients. They are characterized by a clearly articulated theory, comprehensive employee training manuals, model adherence measures and on-going quality assurance systems.

**To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need**:
Tertiary qualifications, preferably in social work, psychology or behavioural sciences or equivalent.

Excellent understanding of the child and family service system, including legislative and policy frameworks.

Experience in leadership and supervision of staff both at an individual level and team level

Excellent skills in providing expert case consultation and advice to complex cases, particularly around risk, safety and wellbeing assessments.

Sound understanding of culturally sensitive practice and is able to establish rapport and relate sensitively with Aboriginal and culturally diverse groups.

**Please Note**: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
