Overview of program


The Primary focus for Programs comprising Placement and Support is the provision of home based care to children and young people who are not able to live with their family of origin or guardians.

The service provides support to volunteers providing care varying from temporary emergency care through to permanent care and adoption.

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in social work, psychology or behavioural sciences or equivalent with substantial experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the Child Protection, OOHC placement and support services and family service system, including legislative and policy framework.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience and leadership qualities with the capacity to motivate and lead a team.
  • Excellent communication with ability to engage with a wide variety of people.


Please note it is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
