Your Opportunity

You will be making a difference by working on our Goulburn and Queanbeyan Sustaining Tenancy Program which supports tenants in social housing across Queanbeyan and Goulburn who are at risk of losing their tenancy.

You will join a team that is passionate about strengthening community relationships for people who are isolated in social housing. The program aims to build opportunity, strengthen communities, and improve client outcomes and liveability to help sustain local social housing tenancies.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Work with clients to create holistic and strength-based individualised case plans utilising SMART goals including referral to supplementary services as needed.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to sustain tenancies.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of community events to improve outcomes through community engagement.
- Deliver training programs which support the practical needs of the clients.

Requirements for Success
- Previous experience in the community service sector.
- Diploma or Degree level qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health or other related discipline is desirable.
- Good understanding of the challenges and difficulties in the social housing sector
- The ability to work with clients who are facing challenging and multiple barriers to tenancy.
- Confident relationship builder with the ability to quickly build rapport.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience developing complex case plans.
- Current Driving Licence

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
