**O**ngoing, Full-Time opportunity (35 hrs per week) at the heart of the Department of Customer Service**
***About the Department and team**:
The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is a service provider to customers, regulator and provider of all-of-government services including innovative digital enablement. We put people and communities at the centre of what we do, creating a highly engaged and inclusive workforce and through strong partner collaboration.
The Secretary’s Office is a small team providing direct support to the Secretary, Department of Customer Service. We work on a range of deliverables and projects to facilitate and provide administrative, operational, strategic and policy advice and support as required by the Secretary to lead the Department. We collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team and colleagues across the Department. In growing our team, we seeking a proactive all rounder to develop and manage efficient and effective practices, as well as assistance with our key day-to-day deliverables.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Executive Officer to the Secretary, the successful applicant will support both the Executive Officer and Senior Executive Assistant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating business, administrative and support services required by the Secretary and Office
- Developing, implementing, reviewing and improving administrative systems and processes used by and affecting the Secretary and Office, including office record-keeping
- Providing administrative support, for example assisting to manage the Secretary’s meeting papers, logistics for regular Ministerial-Secretary meetings, triaging ad hoc requests and incoming/outgoing correspondence
- Supporting and/or managing special projects as they arise
- Preparing a range of documents with excellent attention to detail, accuracy and timely delivery, including in support of Secretariat functions for governance forums chaired by the Secretary
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships and networks across the Department, using excellent communication skills
- Monitoring and addressing complex or sensitive enquiries and issues, exercising good judgement when escalation is required
- Coaching others on internal policies, procedures and business systems to support the efficient and compliant operation of the Department.
