The Agile Delivery Lead directs and supports a group of delivery squads composed of Engineers, Product Owners, Analysts, Testers, and other specialists. You will support the squads to deliver quality software at a fast but sustainable pace. You will also be responsible for planning and driving the delivery of features which span across multiple squads and streams within and beyond ANZ Plus

The work is highly complex, and you will be required to work with a broad range of partners, peers, and stakeholders.

What will your day look like

Working closely the Initiative Lead (Project Director), Product Owners and Tech Leads to manage the strategic delivery dependencies across business and technology streams.
Ensuring all squads have a pipeline of valuable work which is prioritised by the Product Owner and ready to pick up.
Developing plans, managing risks and dependencies, and supporting our release process.
Resolving blockers and issues that impact the squad’s ability to meet their goals.
Adapt working cadence, delivery approach, operational rhythm to suit changing environment.
Generating a positive working environment that celebrates incremental achievements.
Helping teams be self-sufficient and empowering them to lead themselves, and each other, through change and uncertainty.
Engaging and influencing stakeholders around delivery trade-offs and risks.
What will you bring?

A solid understanding of agile / lean development methodologies and principles and you’re willing to roll up your sleeves, lean into challenges and forge a way through complex problems and situations, bringing your squads and stakeholders along with you.

Previous experience of helping define the scope, sourcing the design, developing an approach and generating a plan.
Comfortable with complex pieces of work that includes multiple domains, systems and squads.
Strong technical aptitude, You will be comfortable reviewing and discussing detailed technical solutions and working directly with software engineers
Leadership, coaching and influencing skills. The role is highly visible and requires a cool head and a highly effective working style.
Solid Project Management / Delivery Lead experience in a large organisation. Any experience in customer facing feature delivery across mobile and web is helpful.
Any knowledge of Pega | Salesforce | Twilio and how they hang together is helpful. Jira | Confluence | Slack is a must
A pragmatic approach - able to make sensible trade-offs and influence others to buy in.
Decisiveness - willing to make timely decisions, preferably data-driven, in rapidly changing and high-risk situations.
