Ikea Food Co-worker

Who you are
As an IKEA Food Co-worker, you demonstrate passion, love and commitment to food, its quality and presentation. You have experience working in fast paced, hands-on environments and are enthusiastic about working with others in a team. You have excellent communication skills and demonstrate a polite and friendly manner. Previous experience in a fast-paced hospitality and cookery environment is highly regarded. You are able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks. As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month.
**Your responsibilities**
As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
- Food preparation, cooking and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
- Active selling, cash handling, customer service, food preparation and cooking.
You will also be required to work in our dishwash area where you will be responsible for:
- Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and sorting cutlery.
- Maintaining the pot wash and dish wash areas, keeping it clear of hazards and washing and cleaning commercial cooking pots, utensils and equipment.

A key role of the IKEA Food Team is to serve our customers ensuring they have a positive experience in our store to give our visitors a taste reason to return. Together we strive to deliver a prime dining experience for the customer shopping journey and ensure our shoppers and their stomachs are truly satisfied.
This opportunity is permanent, part-time, 40hrs/fortnight, located in the Perth store. The base hourly rate for this role starts at $24.93, plus penalties.
