The Essential Services Commission is Victoria's independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries. The commission's functions include:
- making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes)
- undertaking reviews and providing advice to Ministers on a range of economic and regulatory matters
- monitoring and reporting on compliance, investigating contraventions, and conducting proceedings under relevant legislation including the ESC Act
- administering the Victorian Energy Upgrades program
The Accreditations Lead is responsible for:
- contributing to establishing the Accreditation functions of the VEU Division
We are looking for self-starters and team players who have:
- Experience developing or contributing to a positive team culture that empowers staff and delivers great performance
- A keen result focus with the ability to manage priorities and adjust plans, identify risks and possible solutions and deliver high quality work within tight timeframes
- The ability to provide advice on complex operational, financial, legal, technical or policy issues including exploring innovative solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience in compliance, enforcement, stakeholder engagement and education, accreditations or licensing
