**About the Role**:
Reporting to the General Manager Workers Compensation Underwritten and Distribution, you will lead and drive the business plan and strategy with the claims team to meet portfolio targets, overseeing the delivery of claims services to clients to maximise financial objectives and ensure internal and external compliance benchmarks are met.
**Other key aspects of the role**:
- Establishment of a strong team culture through people management, performance and service delivery, working with the local and national leadership teams to grow the brand and profile further enhancing our position as a leading workers compensation insurer and Personal Injury division.
- Lead claims programs that support customer centricity, developing key relationships and partnerships with our customers, intermediaries and the Regulator to achieve current and future contractual obligations.
- Play a critical role in the senior management team in supporting cross-divisional programs and providing key strategic and innovative solutions to achieve scheme and business goals.
- Drive strategic understanding of regulatory profiles, direction and environment and the provision of strategic input to the General Manager and Senior Management Team.
- Manage communications on key strategic initiatives with relevant stakeholders including internal and external partners/customers.
- Support the business and General Manager with current and future contractual requirements/governance and play a key role in supporting future contract negotiations/tendering/renewal.
**Important to your success**:
- Extensive leadership experience in Workers Compensation or Personal Injury Claims Management.
- Comprehensive understanding of claims management models and cost drivers.
- Deep understanding of laws, rules and legislation governing workers compensation.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex and ambiguous issues, combined with the capability to lead strategic planning activities on into commercial operationalisation.
