This role is essential to the success of Billing and Payment Team in as much as the dynamic nature of Telecommunications means that new products & technologies are constantly being introduced & all impact on billing in one way or another. This role is responsible for ensuring Billing stays up to date with new projects, products & platforms whilst maintaining existing processes & controls.

The Billing Control Analyst needs to have the confidence and ability to E2E analyse billing and payment reconciliation issues and take it to resolution. This includes:

- End to end billing reconciliation of online/offline usage and payment transactions.
- Ensuring the online/offline rating process is successfully reconciled daily and all calls are accounted for E2E (mediation to billing system).
- Monitor, analyse and investigate errors in the Error Processing System/s
- Managing the daily reconciliations of both control groups and Sub Ledger reconciliations as the primary control for customer payments
- Work with up and down stream systems and vendors to rectify billing system problems in a timely manner so to reduce the impacts to other business areas.
- Review all reconciliations monthly before submitting to the finance team for final review
- Provide the Operations Manager with recommendations and supporting information on suggested resolution for complex items.

**About you**:

- Strong understanding of Unix Shell scripts
- Intermediate level of understanding and writing of SQL
- Proficient in Excel
- Relational Database experience, preferably Oracle.
