It’s an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. We are transforming how we deliver tennis, with the aim of making it more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve our plan we are looking for an Associations Liaison to join our team at Tennis Victoria on a 12-month max term contract.
About the role
As part of the Competitive Play Team, our goal is to ensure competitive play is available to everyone. This role will contribute to and support the development and implementation of an Associations Strategy to deliver local and zone level competitions across Victoria.
Reporting to Competitive Play and Pathways Lead, in this role you will:
- Work with Associations to identify, innovate and facilitate competitive play opportunities, with particular focus on delivery of zone and local endorsed leagues.
- Conduct Associations audits to engage regularly and gain a solid understanding of these competition deliverers and their needs.
- Lead the promotion and assist in the delivery of the Tennis Victoria League Championships.
- Assist with the provision of support and training to Clubs, Associations and regions for the national competition software package.
- Represent Tennis Victoria at Club and Association tournaments, competitions and events as required.
- Liaise with the marketing department to ensure appropriate coverage and communication of relevant competitions and events including the use of social media.
About you
What you will bring to the role:
- Experience in delivering competitions across various platforms (tennis or non-tennis)
- Experience in working with key stakeholders such as volunteers, club committees, coaches etc.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software packages
- You must hold a current driver’s licence
- Alignment with the Tennis values of Excellence, Humility, Collaboration and Imagination
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
