**About the role**
- We are seeking a
**School Officer** to undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of students, under the direction of the teacher in our Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) workshop classroom.
- Duties include:_
- Preparation of resources and clearing learning materials
- Using technology to support learning activities
- Administrative duties such as photocopying and filing
- Use and maintain machines and equipment used in the processing of timber, metal and plastic materials
- Responsible for ensuring maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery
- Maintain appropriate storage requirements for flammables cupboards /dangerous goods
- Assist teachers and students to maintain a safe and clean workshop environment
- Maintain adequate stores of pre-cut materials and supplies to ensure mínimal disruption to classroom activities
- Ideally you will have:_
- Experience or an interest in manual arts
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to work as part of a team.
- You will also demonstrate initiative and work unsupervised when required

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
