Procurement Specialist

Permanent role

Our client is well know organisation that is at the forefront of technology and is one of the leaders in Australia’s National Security. They are engaged in the integration and sustainment of advanced technology system’s and have products and services across aeronautics, maritime, surveillance and defence domains.

**About the role**:
As an integral member of the Enterprise Operations team you will provide Procurement and contract administration support to Corporate Operations as required.

You will get to work closely and collaboratively with the all business areas, to ensure compliance with company processes and procedures as well as Australian Government Regulations

**Key responsibilities**:

- Perform a range of procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of indirect goods and services to support projects.
- Reviewing proposals, negotiating prices, selecting or recommending suppliers, analyse trends, follow up on orders placed, verifying delivery, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records.
- Provide administrative support in the management of processes through to delivery.
- Entering procurement data records into tracking tools and assist in the preparation of statistical data as required.
- Liaise with external and internal suppliers and stakeholders.
- Assist in the provision of contract administration services to procurement projects.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, build strong relationships and deliver on required outcomes.
- Have strong analytical skills and enjoy getting into the details.
- Must have a positive can do attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Experience using procurement systems (e.g SAP/P2P)
- Experience in negotiating Terms and Conditions (including software)
- International procurement experience, purchasing goods and services and dealing with International Terms and Conditions
