**Facilities/Building Manager**

Your responsibilities would include (but can vary depending on the building):
- Coordinating and overseeing regular building maintenance and repairs.
- Maintaining a safe environment for building occupants and visitors.
- Overseeing security, fire prevention, and other safety systems
- Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
- oversee the operation and function of the building and its services whilst developing and maintaining relationships with the residents and contractors;
- attend to occupiers requests in a friendly and reasonable manner;
- overlook the entire building on a daily basis to ensure cleanliness (including daily management of cleaning staff), identify repairs and maintenance, and log all OH&S issues;
- emergency response management;
- supply feedback to owners and occupiers and act on any outstanding matters that affect the common property;
- ensure all residents abide by the Owners Corporation (OC) rules;
- attend to concerns of residents, and undertake appropriate tasks at the request of residents that affect the common property;
- maintain an updated and current resident's register;
- ensure all plant and equipment is regularly maintained;
- obtain quotes for services, plant, and equipment on behalf of the OC, and approve works completed so they can be paid in a timely manner by the OC Manager;
- put in place contracts for essential services and regularly monitor both contract and inspections to ensure compliance; and
- be an active and contributing member of the MBM team
To be successful at MBM you must have:
- at least 5 years experience in a similar building management role
- have a mechanical engineering degree
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, and building codes.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach;
- Strong relationship management skills;
- Attention to detail and follow-up;
- Accountability;
- A commitment to continuous process improvement;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
