**User Interface (UI) Designer and User Experience (UX) Designer**
- ** 6 Month contract with view to extend.**:

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced
**User Interface designer and User Experience Designer** to join a large state government client on an initial 6-month contract.

**UI Designer**

The role leads and oversees the development of user-centric and visually appealing user interfaces for intelligent systems. The role manages the creation of wireframes, prototypes and have full responsibility over all design decisions during the software development lifecycle.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Oversee the design and development of visually appealing and engaging user centric products and solutions providing guidance to User Interface (UI) Designers throughout the process.
- Verify and monitor UI designs through the software development lifecycle to deliver an as-designed product.
- Establish processes and tools for prototype development and user acceptance testing to drive improvements in customer experience and usability.
- Collaborate with solution and user experience architects within the Architecture and Design team to support the establishment of a strong architecture practice within intelligent systems.
- Act as a thought leader, remaining abreast of current and emerging planning issues and trends, including domestic and international best practice, innovative approaches, and opportunities to support the achievements of the business objectives.
- Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people, and communities for the greater good.

**UX Designer**

The primary purpose of the role is to define, implement and embed the User Experience (UX) design process to deliver user-centric and visually appealing products and services.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain a UX Design Process including standards, processes, and templates.
- Conduct user research and testing and develop engaging and visually appealing products and solutions.
- Engage collaboratively with User Interface (UI) Designers and software engineers to lead and coordinate the user experience design process through the various stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Lead the UX mapping process including storyboards, site maps, wireframes.
- Develop a Brand/Product theme and verify and monitor all products, documentation and training material follow a similar look & feel.
- Translate user requirements into usability requirements and ensure all usability requirements are met at the conclusion of the UX design stage.
- Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people, and communities for the greater good.

**Key challenges**
- Working in an environment of constant change in competing priorities and managing these priorities to enable completion of projects while delivering day to day tasks in the required timeframes.
- Engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders whose agendas/priorities might not always be aligned.
