**The Role**

ALS Water operates a modern laboratory in Melbourne (Scoresby) equipped with the latest in analytical technology. This is a full-time opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to to join our client-focused team in a Tuesday to Saturday Day-shift role.

The successful applicant will receive training and support in the technical components and procedures of the role and in a wide variety of processes associated with working in a modern laboratory.

**The Day to Day**
- Preparation and analysis of water and soil samples in accordance with ALS Quality Work Instructions.
- Completing tasks accurately, within set timeframes and to the relevant analysis standard.
- Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiency
- Maintaining equipment, including cleaning and calibration
- Contributing to a clean, tidy and organised lab environment

**The Essentials**
- Experience in a high throughput, client-focused environment - ideally with commercial laboratory exposure
- Effective written and verbal communications.
- Strong team player who can also work autonomously and with initiative
- Well-organised, task-focused with attention to detail
- A clear understanding of HSE principles and practice and commitment to safe working
