**About the role**:
The primary function of an Operator is to facilitate the safe and efficient movement and storage of hydrocarbon fuel within and between Viva Energy’s operational facilities.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Overall safety, operation and maintenance of Gore Bay Terminal/Site.
- Receipt, safe handling and storage of fuel products.
- Operational tasks associated with maintenance and product quality including product transfers, product sampling and testing.
- Emergency response and incident control.
- Liaison with key stakeholders regarding product receipt planning;
- Product sampling from tanks and appropriate test points;
- Monitoring and recording product levels (tank dipping) and movements within the tank and site inventory system;
- Undertaking basic housekeeping duties in relation to operational areas, and work area/site;
- Rail/tanker loading/unloading
- Shipping (import of product into a terminal/site i.e wharf attendant);
- Bunkering, and Product quality testing
- Ad hoc audits and interaction with drivers and their fleet vehicles for compliance and safe operations;
- Participation in HSSE assurance activities, audits, emergency response, work insights in the context of maintaining our safety management systems;
- HSSE incident and injury reporting.

**About you**:

- Operational or manufacturing environment experience (ideally in the dangerous goods industry) is desirable
- Working knowledge of: Site Security Plan, Asbestos Management Plan, Health Risk Assessment, HEMP (Hazardous Affect Management Process), and applicable bowties for the site;
- Understanding of the Emergency Response (ER) plan for the site and undertaking the role applicable to the Operator in the event of an emergency;
- Knowledge of the site traffic management plan.
- Mechanical aptitude.
