Gabriel Fitzroy are currently seeking an experienced venue manager, someone that is reliable, enthusiastic with high energy and a keen eye for attention to detail within the cafe and within the team.

Gabriel Fitzroy on Gertrude Street is a modern Australian brunch lunch cafe with international influence, serving up delicious food, wine, cocktails and friendships to the local community.

With Terrazzo flooring, emerald-green wall tiles and large sash windows lend a vintage feel, and the oversized glass pendant lights redolent of the 1930s come from an old boarding school in Tasmania.

The intention is that diners feel as though they’re sitting in a European espresso bar in the ’50s, with a bit of a modern edge.

We are currently seeking an experienced venue manager, someone that is reliable, enthusiastic with high energy and a keen eye for attention to detail within the cafe and within the team.
Your role will include, but not limited to
- Building excellent rapport with customers and suppliers
- Holding a meaningful and friendly relationship with staff
- Have great interpersonal and communication skills
- Creating rosters and managing staff shifts
- Liaising with stakeholders, BOH and FOH staff to implement sales techniques and incentives - weekly specials etc
- Visual merchandising of our retail section
- Social Media accounts
- Multitask high paced environments
