The defence business develops and produces remotely controlled weapon systems and ancillary products. Job Description

Responsible for managing the operation and leadership of a small team, you will oversee all Commonwealth of Australia (COA) Defence related projects ensuring the coordination and completion of projects meet scope requirements, are timely and on budget.

This role will see you leading multiple acquisition projects with the overall responsibility for contract delivery (planning, monitoring, control and reporting), so we are looking for a flexible, multi-skilled project manager who is keen to grow their carer within a leading Defence supplier. **Primary Duties**

Primary duties include:

- manage the project team to deliver COA projects which will include resource allocation, managing the operations of the Melbourne office and ensuring that project planning, monitoring and reporting provides accurate information;
- participate in the preparation of tenders and proposals;
- liaise directly with the Commonwealth to negotiate contracts and complex matters;
- engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure contract milestones are achieved within specified cost and time constraints;
- deliver configuration control and compliance;

- have proven experience in Defence acquisition and procurement;
- 5+ years project management experience;
- project management qualifications.
