Your Opportunity

The Family Preservation Service offers compassionate, targeted intervention services to families with at least one child or young person under eighteen at home. These families are navigating challenges that impact their ability to provide care. Our goal is to nurture loving, functional families where children are protected from harm and experience improved wellbeing.

As the Team Leader, you will provide comprehensive support to both staff and management to ensure the efficient delivery of services to clients and the achievement of service outcomes and be responsible for overseeing the implementation of funding guidelines and meeting all reporting requirements for the program.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Adhere to core responsibilities outlined in MA Child & Youth Safe policies, procedures, and supporting documents.- Collaborate with case managers and families to deliver flexible, client-focused, needs-driven service.- Assist case managers in engaging families timely using Structured Decision-Making tool.- Coordinate compliance with program guidelines in case management practices.- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the program.- Develop strong relationships with key external stakeholders.- Support staff performance and development activities.- Organize and facilitate group work and development activities for case managers.- Act as the first point of escalation for case management issues.- Complete required administration tasks, reports, and audit activities.- Support Program Manager in maintaining program integrity and staff compliance.- Contribute to projects aimed at improving practice and outcomes.

Requirements for Success- Possess relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in human services- Experience in child protection with advanced knowledge of related issues- Skilled in complex casework, including individual and group work- Proficient in planning, evaluation, and conducting training sessions- Ability to mentor and support case managers with assessment and interventions- Approach work from a strengths-based perspective with families- Effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and interagency contexts- Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and management- Expertise in trauma-informed care- Ability to relate to individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
