We're looking for a Communications and Marketing Manager to join our client's team on a full-time basis.
The role will be based in Central Canberra, working with an entertainment business that is looking for an experienced Communications and Marketing Manager who will oversee the development and implementation of all marketing and communications activity. This includes event marketing and sales; brand development and elevation; publicity; and publications.
In this role, you'll be responsible for providing strategic communications advice and support across our client's business functions, including community engagement, philanthropy, corporate partnerships, and the executives of our client’s firm. You'll work closely with senior management to develop strategies that will help shape their brand and reputation in the marketplace. Your goal is to ensure that the organization's messages are being communicated effectively across a broad range of channels.
You'll have experience working in a fast-paced environment where you'll need to juggle multiple projects at once. You'll also have worked directly with clients before, which is essential for this role. We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can work well both independently and as part of a team.
Founded in 1950, our client is the professional orchestra of the Australian Capital Territory.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a full-time opportunity, and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running. Our client’s firm is an agile, high achieving and collaborative team of arts and not-for-profit professionals, dedicated to creating memorable musical experiences in and beyond the concert hall.
This position is suited to an experienced marketing professional with a passion for performing arts and the enthusiasm to innovate and reach new audiences.
You will possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal and work closely with other departments within the business.

**In this role, you’ll be responsible for**:
- develop and lead the implementation of marketing strategies.
- create briefs for marketing and advertising material.
- campaign monitoring, adjusting where required to optimise results.
- analysis and reporting post campaign.
- identification of new customer segments and the development and implementation of engagement strategies.
- ensure the strategic coherence of publications, working closely with the publications manager.
- oversee all public relations as and when required.
- nurture key media relationships.
- preparing media releases and organising interviews.
- proactively support our client’s business areas to deliver against targets which include the philanthropy communications and campaigns, implementation of corporate partnerships benefits and promotion of the firm’s community and youth training activity.
**To be successful in this role, you’ll need**:
- minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing and or communications role.
- expectational written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- proven track record of budgeting, creating, and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
- strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets.
- understanding of ticketing and pricing strategy.
- experience in developing digital advertising campaigns.
- expertise in guiding the creative development of campaigns.
- strong data analysis, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- interest in CRM and willingness to learn CRM system.
- experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- passion for working in the arts and interest in classical music.
- tertiary qualification ideally incorporating marketing, communications, business, creative arts and or arts management.
