This role is supporting the Business Management and Financial Governance Manager in delivering operational excellence of governance protocols and Financial Reporting for the global ‘Reconciliation Centre of Excellence’ department. The fundamentals are ensuring robust ANZ Group Financial Reporting for all accounts globally on our multiple registers, compliance of all relevant policies & procedures across the bank and the oversight and strategic implementation of sound Governance obligations and protocols.

The dynamic nature of the role would be suitable for someone who loves to learn, is curious about the big picture of banking (products, departments, projects, systems), proactive in engaging the right channels to identify process flows, can put a critical thinking hat on to investigate issues, able to identify process gaps/risks, is a creative thinker and able to implement or reengineer controls and processes within the team.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong banking experience with Retail/Institutional Product knowledge preferred.

Proven People Leadership capability to drive change and implement new governance protocols (end to end).

Good understanding of Operations Management, Financial reporting, Governance and Risk Experience.

High level of problem solving aptitude and demonstrated organisational skills. This role will be expected to be flexible and adaptable in managing changing work requirements and environments.

Proficient in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.

Strategic thinker with the ability to provide sound and creative solutions.

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently
