**About the role**

Mater Health currently has an exciting opportunity for a **Team Leader Theatre Inventory Operations** to join the Mater Supply Chain Operations Team. This is a **permanent full-time** role based at South Brisbane.

In this important role, the Team Leader Theatre Inventory Operations leads continuous improvement activities alongside the Manager Warehousing and Inventory Operations and works collaboratively with Procurement and Supply Chain Operations leadership team. You will lead and manage Operating Theatre Inventory Controllers; maintain Critical Care area Inventories at optimum cost-efficient levels and provide exceptional service to customers and key stakeholders; Implement and maintain best practice and procedures and work closely with theatre management to ensure optimum outcome is achieved in the above.

Procurement and Supply Chain Operations works with a one team approach to delivering services, and this role will support the ongoing transformation and improvement of purchasing services for Mater customers.

**Salary range: $79,014 - $87,055 (MCAS4) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging**

**What you’ll be doing**
- Complete inventory management in Mater Operating Theatres.
- Manage the inventory team’s performance development process creating a fully integrated cross functional team whilst supporting them in their daily activities and workflows.
- Identify supply chain efficiencies across all Critical Care areas.
- Oversee operational workflow and ensure regular communication on performance expectations.
- Identify issues and raise with the leadership team, working collaboratively to provide solutions for Mater customers.
- Maintain high levels of customer service with all stakeholders within the Operating Theatre, Catheter Labs and Endoscopy units in relation to inventory control.
- Work with team members to improve customer service standards and delivery of outcomes, working to proactively identify ways to improve processes.
- Focus on supporting and developing the supply chain operations team through regular discussions, performance reviews and coaching.
- Adhere to the Supply Chain Operations processes, clinical and professional governance rules for Procurement and Supply Chain Operations.

**About you**
- A Diploma in Purchasing or Inventory Management, or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience ideally gained in a large, complex organisation.
- Must have experience of leading change and be able to demonstrate sound change management capability.
- Demonstrated experience in purchasing operations, ideally gained in a healthcare organisation, is desirable.
- Must have very good experience of purchasing systems and the value of digital purchasing delivery.
- Must have sound data and reporting skills and experience in a purchasing context.
- Must have a good knowledge and experience of ERP platforms or purchasing and inventory management platforms.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate outcomes to deliver client expectations.
- Excellent leadership skills and abilities and be able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Must have a strong commitment to working with people to lead and deliver change.
- Must lead continuous improvement initiatives and deliver quality supply chain services adopting a proactive and positive approach.
