Do you want make a positive difference to the lives of thousands of young Victorians?
In this role you will help to eliminate or minimise harm -and the risk of harm - to Victorian apprentices and trainees.
Your experience in risk-based regulation will ensure that scarce resources are deployed for maximum public benefit.
You will lead preparation of advice to the Delegate on investigations that consider or recommend regulatory sanctions, such as revocation of an employer's approval to employ apprentices and trainees in Victoria, and/or suspension or cancellation of training contracts.
You will lead work with co-regulators and other agencies, such as Apprenticeships Victoria, WorkSafe, Wage Inspectorate Victoria, Energy Safe Victoria, and the Victorian Building Authority, to exchange intelligence and information to improve the VRQA's performance and help our partners further whole-of-Victorian government objectives.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Training and Skills, you will help set up a new, in-sourced regulatory field services team, from 1 July 2023.
