**Group Compliance Specialist (Privacy) - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract**
Are you passionate about privacy compliance and ready to make a significant impact? We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Group Compliance Specialist. In this key role, you’ll assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining privacy programs and strategies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide assistance and direction regarding the design, effectiveness, and ongoing review of the RACQ Privacy framework.
- Analyse and interpret complex information from various sources to identify compliance insights and emerging risks.
- Maintain compliance systems to automate governance, risk, and compliance activities.
- Stay updated with privacy and data-related laws and regulations, including the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles, as well as international regulations such as the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Drive positive risk culture and effective corporate governance within the organisation.
**About you**:
- University degree in a relevant study area, with tertiary education in Law and/or related fields preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in privacy compliance.
- Strong understanding of privacy and data-related obligations and compliance frameworks applicable to financial services.
- Highly developed interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with audiences at all levels.
- Experience in process and management control design, with the ability to identify operational and compliance risks.
- Ability to think critically and adapt to a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.
- Passion for promoting positive risk culture and effective corporate governance.
