**Technology Lead - Cloud**

Our client, a well know Australian brand, is in the middle of a technology transformation. Digitising and modernising their technology platforms is a goal they are constantly working on, and the biggest three items on their agenda are: Cloud enablement (& migration), pivot to Cloud First approach & Cyber Security.

The Enterprise Technology Delivery Services team is responsible for the foundation of technology and leading the cloud transformation. You will be a part of this team and will play a pivotal role to enable success of the above mentioned agenda.

This role, Tech Lead - Cloud, will provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of Cloud Migrations and Cloud enablement to our client's business. We are ideally looking for someone with Financial services industry experience but more important for us is the right set of skills.

In this role you will communicate with employees and stakeholders to ensure the company's technologies are used appropriately. You will work directly under the Head of Enterprise Delivery and act as Cloud expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company.

Mostly technical yet strategic thinking and a strong cloud acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of Cloud concepts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead System Design/Build/configuration operations for AWS and Azure environments.
- Discover and implement new cloud technologies that yield competitive advantages.
- Help departments use cloud technology optimally.
- Effectively translate the strategic roadmap into actionable work items and effectively highlight requirements and resourcing or capability gaps
- Identifying and managing tech debt and associated risks
- Capacity and demand management of staff and compute including cost optimisations
- Service transition of new project driven assets
- Service operations and Service Continuity planning
- Asset health/lifecycle management, including currency and licensing compliance
- Adherence to technology standards and policies

**Requirements and skills**:

- In depth knowledge of documentation, coding, testing and deployment using multiple development languages and platforms.
- Proven project and delivery skills, and an ability to work in an Agile environment.
- Strong Software quality assurance and problem diagnosis and resolution.
- 6+ years continuous commercial software development experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related discipline well regarded
- 4+ years' experience in a technical leadership role with demonstrable experience in delivering scalable, secure and resilient solutions
- Advance skills and knowledge of: Cloud & Cloud native development 4+ years (AWS, Azure
- Clear understanding of cloud network and security concepts
- Certifications in one or more cloud platforms, AWS and/or Azure preferred
- Demonstrable experience in delivering cloud native and hybrid cloud workloads
- Demonstrable ability in migrating workloads to the cloud
