**About the position**

As the Lifestyle Assistant you will provide high quality support to people with disabilities, Mental Health and complex behaviours. This involves undertaking a broad range of duties which includes personal care, medication administration, household tasks, administrative functions and above all, engaging and supporting participants to live their best life.

**About you**

You have extensive experience supporting people with mental health, intellectual impairment and challenging behaviours.

You have an in depth understanding and experience of trauma informed care_, _have the ability to build rapport_, _develop awareness of participant triggers and to deescalate situations.

You are patient, empathetic and and are truly passionate about helping people, and supporting their goals to realisation.

**Position Requirements**
- Manual handling is a requirement of the role.
- Experience with complex and challenging behaviours is a must.
- Willing to support our customers with domestic duties.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in report writing.
- Capacity to meet physical requirements of the job.
- Current driver’s license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Current QLD Blue
- Current NDIS Worker Screen
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current First aid and CPR Certificates
- Certificate III in Individual Support or higher
- Current Police Check
- COVID-19 vaccination

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates
