**The opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our Melbourne-based Motorcycle team on a Permanent basis. This position will see you provide delivery of superior claims service, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases.

Your responsibilities will include:

- The management of lodgements and repairs for Motorcycle Claims utilizing multiple claims systems and processes
- Maintaining positive stakeholder relationships with the insured, agents and service providers
- Interpreting basic policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted
- Receiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claims
- Authorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements and
- Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations.

**Your story so far**
- Experience in a similar role within Motorcycle Claims will be highly advantageous
- An individual who has mechanical or technical bike knowledge will be highly regarded
- Highly developed customer service, communication and negotiating skills
- An individual who is tech savvy and quick learner
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- While not essential, a motorcycle enthusiast would be advantageous
