We are looking for a talented content writer to join our high-performing team to support the internal communication needs of the department.
The role is responsible for content development, including researching and delivering stories and news across our internal channels, including those of the DEECA Secretary, All Staff forum and Ada newsroom.
We are seeking a highly organised communications professional who can write clear and concise communications while easily navigating the complexities of working in a large department.
A self-starter, you will be hands-on and a have a creative flair for storytelling to produce stories and speaking notes that resonate with staff.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Experience in writing, producing and sharing a range of content across traditional and new channels.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in journalism, digital communications or public relations, preferably in a government setting.
- A background in journalist and editorial experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of social media and digital channels with experience in measurement and reporting.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
