The Healthy Environments and Lives (HEAL) is a large research network led by the Australian National University (ANU) that brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge, sustainable development, environmental epidemiology, and data science and communication to address climate change and its impacts on health. Researchers, practitioners, communities, and policymakers work together on urban health, bushfires, air, soil and water pollution, food security, heatwaves and other extreme events, and biosecurity.

As part of the HEAL network, Curtin University has an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to contribute to the research outcomes of innovative and future-oriented research initiatives in a multi-institutional environment.

**In your new role, you will**
- Work collaboratively and effectively with a multi-disciplinary research team, to contribute to the preparation of research reports in fulfillment of research contract deliverables.
- Conduct multivariate statistical analyses including structural modelling and multilevel analysis, or in-depth experience conducting qualitative analysis.
- Translate and communicate research outcomes to industry and other research partners, including non-academics, in journal publications as well as in conference presentations.
- Participate in the development of proposals for further funding and develop research prototypes to support future research.
- Contribute to the successful supervision of research higher degree students as part of a large team.
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships within and beyond the HEAL Network including interdisciplinary domains, Government bodies, and the wider community.
- Contribute to the broader activities of the HEAL network as required.

**We are looking for someone with.**
- A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated research experience in one or more of the following relevant fields: urban planning, urban heat island, housing, air quality, heat, and health.
- Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
- Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment.
- Ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
