About the Opportunity
The Functional Safety Manager is responsible for driving Quality and Continuous Improvement across Seeing Machines. You will manage a small team and be responsible for defining and managing the ongoing support for projects that have moved into TLS/Maintenance phase.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Standing up processes that interface with the Development team to ensure efficient and smooth handover into Maintenance phase
- Ownership of and responsible for ensuring the projects within TLS phase are managed within defined SLAs
- Primarily responsible of the technical consistency and integrity of systems in the Maintenance phase
- Requirements Management and Analysis - Elicit, develop, and maintain System requirements from Stakeholder requirements. Define and manage baselines.
- Configuration Management of a System - Define and maintain sources of truth for the system and its elements.
- System Verification & Qualification - Develop, establish, and maintain a framework consistent with the development environment and phases.
- Change Management - Manage and drive changes to the system. Ensure proper technical and risk assessment of changes. This applies to changes originating at the customer and internal
- Technical leadership - Technical oversight of the system and its sub-systems. Technical authority at system level.
- Ensure that our customer requirements during Through Life Support phase is exceeded
- Defining and implementing processes for System / Software product development, in accordance with these standards e.g., ASPICE, ISO26262, ISO 9001, IATF16949 and other standards adopted by Seeing Machines
- Training and supporting project teams in the adoption of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and continuous improvement via deployment within Q-Sight. In addition to the above standards, these also involve ISO27001, ISO 14001, other customer specified standards and Seeing Machines approved accreditation list.
- Representing the company in customer quality engagements, working closely with Seeing Machines Customer Quality Engineers, Business Units and internal teams
- Engage with Customers to proactively manage projects within TLS phase
- Manage team of TLS Engineers
- Conducting process and internal audits
- Managing Issues and CAPAs

About you
You will have demonstrated experience in a similar role with a;
- Tertiary qualifications in Software/Electronics/Systems engineering, and demonstrated equivalent industry experience
- Commercial work experience in Quality Assurance within Automotive, Aviation, or other relevant regulated industries
- Commercial Experience in Through Life Support will be an advantage
- Experience as a system architect or subsystem architect will be an advantage
- Experience in Cloud Technologies i.e AWS will be an advantage
- Experience using Requirements Management tools: (DOORS, JAMA, etc.)
- Experience in using Enterprise Architect
- Passion for driving the adoption of quality processes across the organization
- Commercial experience in defining quality processes and procedures for entire product development lifecycle for System and Software (innovation concept, product development, maintenance, field monitoring)
- Commercial experience in implementing processes in projects and project quality status reporting
- Experience in conducting internal QA audits of automotive product development teams
- Commercial experience with ASPICE, ISO/TS16949, and ISO26262 standards
- Experience in planning and conducting QA training to project teams
- Experience in handling 3rd party certification audit
- Experience writing Python or other scripting languages
- Commercial experience developing production-quality C/C++ code
