Wingecarribee Council is based in the Southern Highlands of NSW (South-West of Sydney). With four very distinct seasons, it’s a destination like no other, offering magnificent scenery, boutique wineries, national parks with heritage trails and stunning waterfalls. Council is responsible for delivering a wide range of services to their community of around 52,500 residents. Some services include road maintenance, waste collection, park and garden upgrades, libraries, leisure facilities and childcare centres.

**The Opportunity**
This newly designed, ‘Coordinator of Procurement and Contracts’ position is a full-time permanent opportunity which is based in Moss Vale and offers flexibly to work from home (WFH). You will report into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and are responsible for:

- Overseeing Council’s procurement and tendering function to ensure compliance with the Local Government Act and other relevant legislation, policies and guidelines
- Effectively managing Council’s contract register, ensuring compliance with record keeping requirements
- Providing high-level support and advice to Council staff in relation to procurement and purchasing processes
- Providing leadership and direction to the Procurement team (mentoring 2 direct reports)
- Providing probity advice in relation Procurement activities in consultation with the CFO

**About You**
To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as; Procurement, Business, Purchasing, Contract Management or Public Administration
- Experience using Technology One (CiA) is preferred but not mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Procurement position within a multi-purpose organisation
- Sound knowledge of government procurement, tendering policies and contract management
- Ability to understand different business requirements from across the organisation in relation to purchasing and procurements processes
- Ability to provide sounds probity advice on procurement related matters
- Ability to drive positive change through policy, procedural and system improvements
- Demonstrated capacity to coordinate and mentor staff
