Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex. Perth

An opportunity currently exists for an Earthworks Specialist to join our Resource Definition team and work across all of Fortescue’s Eastern Pilbara operations. This position is responsible for ensuring earthmoving contractors are adhering to the required Australian and Fortescue HSE standards and policies as well as ensuring that all earthmoving assets and processes are audited regularly. They will support the Earthworks superintendent in leading the team and providing mentoring for the supervisors within the earthworks team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance of earthworks assets in Eastern Ops to relevant Fortescue and Australian standards through audits and ad hoc inspections
- Support and mentor Earthworks supervisors in various aspects of managing earthworks teams and fleet
- Contribute to the ongoing development of relevant department standards
- Maintain a positive, visible site presence through Field Interactions and Critical Control Monitoring
- Support Earthworks Superintendent with SME knowledge and industry experiences to promote the growth and evolution of earthworks processes and systems
- Provide a consistent link with OEM’s and vendors to ensure adherence and prompt issue resolution
- Regular review of FMG and Contractor earthmoving procedures

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of WA safety regulations, especially as they pertain to earthwork works
- Attainment of HSE qualification highly desirable
- Experience working in earthmoving related fields required, preferably open cut mining but civil also beneficial
- Engineering or Trade qualifications are preferred but not essential
- Proficient in use of MS Office suite required
- High level of communication
- Any Earthmoving licences and VOC’s
- Current first aid
- Class C Manual WA Driver’s Licence
- 4WD Certificate
